None of the jobs are retired, but there are a few I have not given as much merit/gear attention to lately.

4. Applicable subjobs and levels:
All except SMN(34), PUP(32), and SCH(15)

I absolutely hate SMN and have only really been levelling it via SMN burning in the tunnels and catching the summoning skill up later when I'm bored.

My crafting skills are an abomination! Smithing is currently the highest at 24.

7. Merit Points (detailed):
My favorite job is THF, but I realize that it might not be optimal for all events. I've levelled a few others with the intention of covering a few bases in case there is a shortage of a certain job type. I do keep my FFXIAH merit count fairly recent, so this may show any increases I may have added since these screen captures were taken (I know BRD and BST are behind since I took the screenshots below).

If a concentration on a zerging style is a focus, I'll switch my merit dumps into DRK in order to make myself more useful in that regard. I hadn't focused on it initially because I was usually asked to come on THF for Feint/TH4.

That would be perfect. The last linkshell was mainly PST based and I didn't feel as if I was providing anything of value when events would start after midnight or 1:00am EST.

• Ultima - (HNM Shell) - Initially left due to differences in recruiting philosophy, what I perceived as favoritism (related to recruiting), and differences with a few members in the shell.

• Serendipity - (Lowman Event Shell) - Left when this shell became too large causing a split in the "right to lot" opinions between it's members. This shell eventually formed the two smaller linkshells Unwanted and Cobrahat.

• Wizardry - (ToD HNM Shell) - This shell eventually faded as NA and JP left to join other shells. Never really left this one, but putting on a pearl now shows a message from June 26 and an empty player list =(.

• DarkLegions - (Event Shell) - Separated with DL when I felt that I wasn't pulling my weight as an EST player in a PST based shell.

18. Where did you hear about OP and why do you want to join the ls?
Initially I heard about it from Lulu while we were having a conversation over a talking moose at a Canadian steakhouse. I was hesitant to join because I was already part of Wizardry at the time and I liked playing with a group of people that would get together and fight something regardless of language. I never really looked into it again until recently when Soundwave (Keleon) talked to me about it after I told him how worthless I felt in a PST based shell.

19. Is there anyone in OP who knows you and will vouch for you?:
God damn, I hope so!

20. What do you expect from OP?
I'm looking to find my role with a collection of players. I like anything group based whether it's meriting or HNMs. While solo play is fun, I'm playing an MMO, I want to fight shit with other people!

Levelling a job, meriting it, learning what it can do, and gearing it mean nothing if I can't apply it to an enemy together with a group of people holding the same mindset.

I want nothing more than to be a contributor. Anything I learn or earn is used to hopefully make my contribution at the next event greater.

21. Do you have any Sky/Sea/HNM/Wyrm/Einherjar/Dynamis Experience (detailed)?:

• Sky - I have done everything in sky, but my memory is hazy when it comes to specifics up there. I'm sure a few visits will jog my memory. I enjoy sky because the steps up there make sense and it usually produces loot that advances a shell equipmentwise.
  
  
  
• Sea - I've done everything in sea with the exception of surviving against Absolute Virtue. I've got Love, Temperance, and Prudence Torques from Sea so far.
• HNM - I've beaten all HNMs at least once with the exception of their ZNM counterparts. I currently do not have a title from Cerberus though (was outside an alliance to rotate in another BRD) and still require the Halvung gate key item.
• Wyrm - I've taken down Tiamat, Jormungand, and Vrtra at least twice each. Tiamat around 10 times Jormungand maybe 4 or 5, Vrtra only twice.
• Einherjar - I've been with the Susake/Lulu group for Einherjar and it's shell under Redd. I've have participated in multiple Odin kills and have around 110,000 Ampules to spare after I bought the Ampule items I was seeking. I really like Einherjar and the fact that it is only 30 minutes.
• Dynamis - I've had a very hard time motivating myself to get back into Dynamis. I absolutely hated going for three hours in Beaucedine Glacier only to see BRD drop while sustaining a few shell wipes. I have not participated in a Dynamis run in a while.

23. Please give us some additional information about yourself:

• I am a kitteh.
• I leave my XP/merit selection on XP. I believe that I am making an investment in keeping job specific merits active and enabling the use of gear I've aquired in order to ensure I'm making my contribution. I regularly maintain the jobs at capped XP in an attempt to keep them from ever becoming dangerously low to the delevelling boundary.
• I really enjoy meriting, especially with people in my current shell. I love the competitive push I get from my peers and the feeling of accomplishment that comes after a high yield merit session.
• I am a Campaign addict. I love the fact that I can fill up periods of boredom with instant action (provided I can get on a Campaign cycle that doesn't chainfuck me with 7-10 min battles).
  
  
  
• I enjoy Salvage and have the desire to continue working on the Ares set! I don't mind coming THF, but I usually get screwed over and put in the short bus party if the member count is > 6.
  
  
  
• I CAN play as a Battle BRD! I have yet to parse above a DD in a merit party, but I'm getting closer as I merit myself with the ability to sing longer lasting songs less frequently. I have a lot of fun with this and enjoy pulling enemy hate from PLDs in Campaign as BRD and messing with it in Beseiged as well.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• I play an average mage skillwise and attempted to use merits to strengthen what I know are weakpoints in my playstyle. I personally think I burn through MP much too quickly and feel pressure when I don't think I can keep on top of someone's status effects or health because of where I'm sitting MPwise. My RDM was merited to serve in a secondary party giving way to more powerfully merited Phalanx II RDMs to the tank party.
• I play a slightly above average tank skillwise and I understand the hate system fairly well. My tank gear is above average, but it is not outstanding. There are multiple upgrades in gear that can increase my standing time as a tank. While this is fun, it's not in my blood like some people I've witnessed. Some people are made to be tanks!
• I play an average support skillwise. I'm not really sure what else I can do other than ensure I keep songs/rolls/buffs active and debuffs active on the enemy.
• I play an above average damage dealer and this is where I feel most relaxed in terms of playstyle. I really enjoy mixing gear, playstyle, merits, and opportunity as a damage dealer. I feel great when I'm able to pull off a weaponskill into a tank without inserting myself into the hate queue on a truesight enemy repeatedly.
